In honor of its 70th anniversary of leadership and service, the Atlanta chapter has commissioned iconic artist, Dr. Fahamu Pecou, to create a painting to be displayed in a public place (a local museum) for Atlanta residents to enjoy. The commissioned piece is inspired by the Jack and Jill national prayer and the Jack & Jill legacy of leadership, philanthropy, and service. As set forth by the Artist's Statement:
"Q U I E T P O W E R speaks to the noble strength and love we find in the arms of our mothers. A love that molds us long before our first breath and animates us long after her last.”
Limited edition, signed and numbered, lithographic-style digital prints of the commissioned painting will be available for purchase accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Fine art prints and commemorative merchandise sales will be available online at www.jjatlgiving.com beginning at (approx.) 12 pm EST on Friday, October 29, 2021.
